Ucluelet’s Emergency Notification Service for Residents and Visitors

The District of Ucluelet has an Emergency Notification Service to rapidly convey messages to residents and visitors about emergency events. The purpose of the service is to notify citizens via cell phone and/or landline of emergency situations, as well as, provide safety instructions and where to obtain additional information about an emergency event.

Signing up to this service will enable the District of Ucluelet to provide you with critical information quickly during an emergency situation, such as a tsunami warning. To receive emergency notices via text message to your cell phone and/or voice-to-text message to your landline, please click on one of the above links and follow the steps. This service allows residents to add multiple phone numbers and contacts to one account, and will allow visitors to receive emergency notifications during their stay in Ucluelet. This service will be tested the third Wednesday of the month at approximately 12:00PM. There will be notices and advertisements closer to the date to remind citizens of the annual testing.

To learn more about this service, please contact Rick Geddes, Fire Chief at the District Office at 200 Main Street Ucluelet, via email at rgeddes@ucluelet.ca or by telephone 250.726.7744.
